Nairobi – based businessman and lawyer- turned activist, David Morara Kebaso who has been “auditing” President Ruto’s projects claimed that he turned down an offer from the president for a government position.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, Morara Kebaso said that initially people close to the president were calling him with the offer and later on the President himself called him to join government.
“I declined because I am a person of integrity and I believe the Government is already overcrowded,” he said.
The Gen-z lawyer also said that he could not join government because he was likely to be corrupt due to the high demand for corruption in the Kenyan government.
He stated that he comes from a family of fiery politician grandfather whom he wishes to follow his footsteps to criticize the government.
The allegations of the call from the president have since been denied by statehouse spokesperson Hussein Mohammed, asking Morara to substantiate the claim that he was called by the president.
