Former Saif Properties Employee Charged with Stealing Millions

A former employee of Saif Properties Ltd, Jeniffer Wayua Mumo, has been charged with stealing Sh 1.8 million from the company.

Mumo appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Dolphina Alego and denied the charges

It is alleged that the theft occurred between January 1, 2024, and June 30, 2024, in collaboration with other individuals who are yet to be arraigned.

According to the charge sheet, Mumo misappropriated the funds while working at Saif Properties, taking advantage of her position. The prosecution claims the amount, which belonged to the real estate firm, was fraudulently obtained and diverted.

The court granted her a bond of Sh 1.5 million or an alternative cash bail of Sh 800,000.

The case is set for mention on April 16 ahead of the pre-trial proceedings
