IG to file a report within 7 days about the abduction of Mbijiwe.

The inspector general of Police has been given 7 days to file a comprehensive report over the missing of Mwenda Mbijiwe.

Justice Martin Muya said he has given the IG the last adjournment and directed the matter be mentioned on 3rd December 2025 for further directions.

The family lawyer Evans Ondieki told the court that the three agencies that is IG DCI and the DPP have been shifting goal posts, and they are not giving the court the correct information the abduction of mbijiwe.

He said that on 14 November 2025 a representative of the DPP had told the court that they had received a file from the office of the DCI but nothing has been disclosed about what it’s contained in the file.

He said that Mbijiwe was abducted four years ago and up to date, the family does not know his whereabouts.

Ondieki submitted that the court should consider to issue the warrant of arrest against IG to come and explain the progress they have made in establishing the whereabouts of Mbijiwe.

The court was told that the Mother of Mbijiwe has been travelling all the way from Meru to come to court in attending the application seeking the production of her son either live or death.
