Man who threatened to kill Kimani Ichung’wa charged

A Nakuru-based chef who allegedly threatened to kill Kimani Ichung’wa has been charged before a Milimani court.
Stephen Mwangi Kamau allegedly sent a life threatening WhatsApp message to Kimani Ichung’wa on June which read “Kimani I swear if that bill passes I will plan an accident and you will not survive.”
Kamau faces other counts including cyber harassment.
He willfully and unlawfully published a statement directed to Kimani Ichung’wa which read “Kimani your mother is a malaya and you are his fucker..unajifanya aje kama gay ya babako..I swear if that bill passes I will plan an accident and you will not survive..yours faithfully your mother Ruto” and the information is likely to cause apprehension or fear of violence to the member of parliament.
The accused allegedly committed the offence on 20/4/2024 at 1457 hrs.
The accused also allegedly sent another message to Ichung’wa on the same day at 00:53 Am quoted “Kimani Kimanongo please stop this nonsense wewe ni kama mwanamke mbona unapiganisha Gachagua na Ruto..you are such a stupid person”
He denied the charges before a Milimani law court.
Kamau used his Whatsapp number 0708161769 registered under his name to allegedly commit the offences.
The court ordered the accused to pay a cash bail of 100,000 or a bond of 300,000.
The case will be mentioned on 7/7/2024.
