by Irene Onyango

Three former employees of PKF Kenya LLP have been charged in a Nairobi court with allegedly conspiring to steal over Sh22 million from the firm over a period spanning nearly three years.

Felix Wenda Onjor, Susan Joan Atieno Onjor, and Jackline Iva Olet appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Geofrey Onsarigo and pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include conspiracy to commit a felony and theft by servant.

According to the charge sheet, the alleged theft occurred between January 1, 2020, and September 30, 2024. The trio is jointly accused of conspiring to steal Sh22,179,943 from the company.

Wenda is alleged to have stolen Sh11,785,447 by virtue of his position at the firm. Joan Onjor is separately accused of stealing Sh1,782,166, while Olet allegedly misappropriated Sh8,612,330.

The prosecution claims the accused diverted company funds systematically for personal use before the scheme was uncovered.

Wenda was released on a bond of Sh3 million or cash bail of Sh1 million, while Joan and Olet were each granted a bond of Sh2 million or a cash bail of Sh500,000.

The matter will be mentioned on the 18th of June
